Innovative Funding Solutions from Benetrends Financial
Benetrends Client Spotlight: WSI No Limit
Name: Barry Kornspan
Opening Date: November 2014
Company: WSI No Limit, Inc.
Location: West Orange, NJ (although I can help anyone, anywhere!)
Q: Tell us about your background.
A: I’ve been in Information Technology roles for over 30 years, and have worked for Fortune 100 companies as well as smaller firms. I started as a programmer, worked my way into management roles, and eventually led technology organizations. My focus was on helping businesses use technology to effectively solve their business problems.
However, over the past 15 years as many others have as well, I was affected a number of times by outsourcing, mergers, reorganizations and possible ageism. Bottom line, I was tired of someone telling me when I had a job.
I evaluated a number of possible opportunities, and when I found WSI, knew that it was right for me as it combined my consultative and technical skills.
Q: Tell us about your business.
A: My company, WSI No Limit, is an independently owned and operated franchise of WSI (“We Simplify The Internet”) based in Toronto, Canada. WSI is the largest network of Digital Marketing consultants in the world, and is one of Google’s largest partners. We have over 30,000 clients worldwide. I can leverage our global experience with any company, no matter what its size. It’s my goal to make businesses more visible on the Internet, which will increase your leads, revenue and profit!
I like to say that I can make your businesses’ phones ring! My services encompass many different areas: site (websites), search (organic and paid search, which improves your visibility in Internet search engines), social (using tools such as Facebook and Twitter to improve your business visibility) and mobile (making sure that you’re optimized for use with smartphones and tablets, where more and more searches are being done). I can also provide many other digital marketing services, including e-mail marketing and content syndication.
I opened for business in November of 2014, and as of this moment, it’s just me. I’m physically located in West Orange, NJ, but I work with businesses anywhere in the United States. I can effectively conduct business over the phone and with the use of collaboration tools such as GoToMeeting, can share ideas and content with my clients, both current and prospective.

Q: What is one of the biggest challenges you faced and how did you recover?
A: Even though I consider myself a fairly business-savvy person, there were many tasks to be done business-wise that you just have to learn and discover as an entrepreneur. Banking, payroll, business planning, marketing and many others were all tasks that I had to address.
However, I made sure that I engaged the right people to help me make the right decisions – Benetrends being a big part of that team. I’m always learning with all of the changes that go on in the digital marketing world as well as for my business. It’s all about prioritization and having the right resources.

Q: How did you finance your business?
A: I financed my business through the Benetrends Rainmaker Plan by using my IRA to fund a C Corporation. The process was extremely smooth, and the Benetrends staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
Q: What advice would you give someone who wants to start their own business?
A: Make sure it’s something you’re passionate about. Make sure you’re funded properly. Be a people person, but if you’re not, partner with someone who is. People do business with people they like. Finally, don’t be afraid to become an entrepreneur if you’ve got these covered. You’ll be happier knowing that you control your own success.
Q: Any awards, certifications, etc. that you want to tell us about? Or do you do any charity or non-profit work you want to mention?
A: I’m an active member of the Freemasons, the largest fraternal charitable organization in the world, which includes the Shriners and their burn centers as well as Scottish Rite, which provides free programs to teach children with dyslexia how to read. I also work with our young men’s organization, DeMolay.
Q: Is there anything else you would like us to know about you or your business?
A: I’d like to have the opportunity to help entrepreneurs, both new and long-time, with their digital marketing needs to help their business grow. I’ve got the tools to do it, contact me today!!
